About The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Developer (w/m/d) to join our innovative team at Publicare. In this role, you will transition from traditional software development to a strategic position focused on system architecture and responsibility. Your primary focus will be designing sustainable, scalable, and business-oriented cloud systems that leverage modern AI tools and cloud-native technologies. You will work closely with our Head of Engineering to develop architectural decisions, system designs, and provide technical guidance, ensuring that our solutions are robust, maintainable, and aligned with business goals. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a minimum of four years of professional experience in software development, preferably within cloud environments. Proficiency in Go (Golang) is essential, along with a proven track record of developing complex applications. A deep understanding of cloud-native paradigms, including serverless computing with AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and containerization with Fargate or Docker, is required. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks such as the Serverless Framework or Pulumi, as well as automated CI/CD pipelines, is highly desirable. A keen interest in artificial intelligence and its application in enhancing system capabilities is important. Excellent communication skills in both German and English are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Candidates should also demonstrate pragmatic problem-solving, a focus on business outcomes, and a systematic approach to software development. Responsibilities Your core responsibilities will include designing and implementing system architectures that prioritize sustainability, scalability, and business value. You will be instrumental in developing AI-native workflows, utilizing modern AI tools such as large language models (LLMs) and AWS services to automate routine tasks and focus on critical system logic. Working in close collaboration with the Head of Engineering, you will develop your expertise in system design, architecture decisions, and technical consulting, gradually assuming a more strategic role. Ownership and pragmatism will guide your work as you seek simple, stable, and cost-effective solutions within well-defined interfaces and standards. You will contribute to establishing industrial-grade software practices, ensuring that solutions are maintainable, scalable, and operationally reliable, with a focus on quality and system excellence.
