We are currently looking for a Senior Developer to join our UK team. The opportunity: We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Software Developer to join one of our agile squads. In this role, you’ll be hands-on in designing, building, and enhancing features across the PCI Pal product suite, while also setting the technical standard through mentorship, code reviews, and driving engineering best practices. You’ll collaborate closely with testers, product owners, and team leads to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions in a fast-moving environment. With responsibilities spanning feature development, infrastructure support, and continuous learning, this is an opportunity to shape both the product and the team around you through expert-level contribution and thoughtful technical leadership. The successful candidate must be within commuting distance to both London and Ipswich. This is a hybrid role with expectation that when required, the successful candidate can travel to one of our offices at least once per week. You will be responsible for: Working as part of a close-knit squad of developers and testers to design, build and deliver high quality solutions in line with guidance and best practices of the departmentProviding technical guidance and mentorship to other members of your teamDrive best practices – SOLID principles, design patterns and refactoring existing code to be more maintainable and efficientWriting code to develop, fix or enhance features within the PCI Pal product suiteWorking with your team lead and product owner to plan and refine projectsHelping to ensure the team delivers high quality features on time in a rapidly changing environmentSupporting the management of web infrastructure and performing associated health checks as neededBuilding and maintaining an expert knowledge of PCI Pal’s products, services, and deployment methodologyCreating internal technical and process documentation for your work to ensure knowledge is shared with the wider engineering teamMaintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habitsWriting testable, scalable and efficient code and leading code reviewsSupporting live productsLearning new technologies and keep abreast of existing technologies and be able to apply these to your work We want to hear from you if you have: Strong experience in in modern C#, TypeScript, HTML and CSSStrong cloud platform experience, ideally AWSStrong CI/CD experienceStrong experience of using infrastructure as code (e.g. CDK, Terraform)Experience developing serverless applications (e.g. Lambda)A strong focus on architecture and code qualityExperience of modern UI frameworks such as Vue or ReactHave a good understanding of SOLID principles and how to use design patterns to create robust, maintainable and testable codeStrong understanding of object-oriented programming and Dependency InjectionStrong experience of integrating with third party services using APIsExperience of writing performance critical codeExperience of using Git or similar to track changesExperience of both the full .NET Framework and .NET CoreExperience of using observability systems such as Elastic APM or DataDog to track and diagnose issues in productionA solid understanding of security principles and secure coding including OWASP Top 10Nice to haves:Experience in VOIP, (SIP and RTP advantageous)Experience of TDD/BDD/DDDKnowledge of PCI compliance and associated standards such as ISO 27001Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to apply them (WCAG)Experience with developing CRM pluginsExperience of Python and Data AnalyticsExperience of developing AI applications In return we offer: 25 days holiday, rising to 28 days per annum with length of serviceMedical, dental and optical insurance coverAn exciting and flexible working environment surrounded by friendly and committed co-workersUK: Electric Vehicle Scheme“Work from anywhere” 2 weeks per year policyTraining and development opportunitiesAccess to an employee assistance programme and wellbeing support hubTeam eventsAd-hoc incentives and competitions Talk to us: If you have any questions or want to find out more, we’d love to hear from you.
