About The Role We are seeking a dedicated IT System Engineer specializing in Infrastructure Services to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our systems. Your expertise will support our ongoing digital transformation initiatives, including managing Linux servers, Kubernetes environments, and automation processes. As a vital part of our Infrastructure Services team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, optimize operational workflows, and uphold the highest standards of IT security and compliance. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will directly contribute to the bank’s strategic objectives and operational excellence. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a completed IT-related education or degree, such as an IT apprenticeship or university degree, complemented by relevant professional experience. You should have several years of hands-on experience in the productive operation of Linux servers (preferably RHEL) and Kubernetes clusters, especially within regulated or complex environments. Proficiency in automation tools like Ansible and experience with version control systems such as Git/GitLab are essential. Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline development, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD, along with an understanding of GitOps principles, is required. Knowledge of ITIL processes and their application in daily operations is important. Additionally, experience with hypervisors like VMware, Proxmox, or Suse Hypervisor, as well as Blade infrastructure, will be advantageous. Strong analytical, structured working methods, and excellent communication skills in German are necessary to succeed in this role. Responsibilities Operate and administer our Linux server environment based on RHEL, ensuring continuous, stable, and secure operation.Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, guaranteeing reliable deployment and operation of applications and services.Automate routine tasks and operational processes to improve efficiency and standardization across the infrastructure.Utilize GitLab to support modern, version-controlled workflows within the team.Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to facilitate controlled, reproducible, and secure deployments.Create and update deployment configurations in Kubernetes and advance GitOps strategies.Implement security measures continuously to safeguard the IT infrastructure against emerging threats.Apply ITIL principles in daily operations, supporting incident, change, and problem management processes.
