Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Security Engineer with extensive, hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud technologies.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge in container orchestration, CI/CD engineering, automation, and production support.
An eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies, thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and a willingness to provide operational support around the clock are essential characteristics for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EKS, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, Redis, S3, Glue, and Certificate Manager
Develop and manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, utilizing advanced Groovy scripting
Automate deployment and operational workflows with Python and Shell scripting
Manage and support Docker and Kubernetes workloads, with a preference for EKS
Lead security vulnerability remediation efforts, oversee patching, and manage certificate lifecycles
Troubleshoot L2/L3 production issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions
Configure and optimize Akamai Content Delivery Network (CDN)
Implement monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, and Splunk
Collaborate with Agile teams, adapting quickly to new tools, technologies, and processes
Provide 24/7 production support on a rotational or as-needed basis
Qualifications:
Advanced, hands-on AWS expertise: EKS, ECS, VPC, ALB, RDS, Redis, S3, Glue, and Certificate Manager
Proficiency in Jenkins CI/CD with advanced Groovy scripting
Strong skills in Python or Shell scripting
Experience in Docker and Kubernetes operations, with EKS preferred
Production troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning capabilities
Knowledge of security vulnerability remediation and patch management
Experience supporting and configuring Akamai CDN
Solid Linux fundamentals
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Willingness to participate in 24/7 support rotations
Preferred Skills
Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana
