Our client, a leading insurer, is seeking an Integration Developer to join their Auckland-based team.
You'll build and support APIs, integrations, and automation, working closely with engineers, QA, DevOps, and architecture.
What you'll be doing Design, develop, test, maintain, and support applications, APIs, integrations, and supporting services Build integration solutions across modern stacks (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, and front-end applications) Integrate with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce and other business systems) Develop and maintain automated tests (unit/integration/regression where appropriate) Participate in code reviews and uphold strong standards in quality, security, performance, and maintainability Support releases (deployments, smoke testing, validation, post-release monitoring) Troubleshoot defects/incidents and provide production support Partner with DevOps to ensure solutions are deployable, observable, and operationally ready Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across delivery practices What we're looking for 3+ years' experience in software development, integration, or related roles Strong experience building REST APIs, integrations, and service-based solutions Experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.js Familiarity with CI/CD, automated deployments, and DevOps practices Experience working in Agile delivery environments Understanding of secure coding practices and source control processes Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills Comfort leveraging AI-assisted tools/agents to support development, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery Why this role Work on integrations and APIs within a new product development area Join a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team Opportunity to influence engineering practices and automation You will be working with a very smart team and a down to earth and supportive leadership team.
