Laneway is recruiting on behalf of our client, a Federal Government agency, for an experienced technical delivery professional to support the delivery of complex ICT and digital solutions. This is a 12-month contract opportunity, with the successful candidate able to be based in Melbourne or Sydney. The role will work across an Agile Release Train (ART), supporting delivery planning, governance, stakeholder engagement and the coordination of technical outcomes across multiple squads. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in Scaled Agile environments, technical ICT delivery and project management, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders to drive successful delivery outcomes. The Role Key responsibilities will include: Facilitating Scaled Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, PI Retrospectives and ART-level activitiesWorking with the Delivery Director to define ART scope, requirements and acceptance criteriaWorking closely with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to manage and prioritise the Release Train backlogDeveloping and maintaining ART-level roadmaps and delivery schedules using JIRA or similar toolsSupporting alignment of product backlogs and delivery activities across multiple squadsWorking collaboratively with Project Managers to identify, manage and escalate risks and issuesMaintaining appropriate project and delivery logsSupporting release planning and release activitiesCoordinating the delivery of technical components across complex ICT solutionsSupporting delivery across areas including system architecture, cloud, cyber security and other technology componentsWorking closely with Scrum Masters to remove blockers and improve delivery outcomesMentoring and coaching teams in Agile and Scaled Agile ways of workingChampioning continuous improvement and the rollout of improved team and delivery processesEstablishing a positive and collaborative team environmentSupporting delivery governance and ensuring appropriate processes are followed About You You’ll ideally have: 8–10 years’ experience establishing and managing the delivery of technical ICT system delivery projectsStrong experience delivering digital and cloud-based solutionsProven experience working within Scaled Agile / SAFe environmentsStrong knowledge of project management and governance frameworksExperience working across Federal or State Government environmentsDemonstrated experience facilitating program-level and cross-squad Agile ceremoniesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working with Product Managers, Project Managers, Scrum Masters and technical delivery teamsProven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies and delivery prioritiesStrong leadership, mentoring and coaching capabilityA demonstrated commitment to developing team capability and fostering a positive team culture Technical & Delivery Environment Experience across the following will be highly regarded: Cloud-based ICT solutionsSystem architecture and technical deliveryCyber security and security considerationsSalesforceJIRAConfluenceAgile delivery tools and methodologies Qualifications The successful candidate will have: Relevant tertiary qualificationsAn industry-recognised project management qualification, such as a Diploma of Project ManagementSAFe Agile certification or equivalent Agile delivery experience Desirable Experience delivering Salesforce-based solutionsUnderstanding of accessibility principles and accessible design and developmentAdvanced experience with Atlassian tools, particularly JIRA and Confluence The Opportunity 12-month contractMelbourne or Sydney basedFederal Government environmentSenior-level technical delivery and Agile leadershipOpportunity to work across multiple squads and complex ICT initiatives This is an opportunity for an experienced technical delivery professional who can operate at both the program level and across individual squads, bringing structure, strong Agile practices and a focus on continuous improvement.
