About The Role The Software Engineer II contributes to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications supporting the Batch Portal platform. This role operates within an Agile development environment and applies established engineering practices to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business and product requirements. Job Description / Responsibilities Contribute to the research, design, development, and enhancement of software solutions for assigned Batch Portal functional areas.Implement application functionality and resolve software defects using established coding standards and best practices.Develop and maintain backend services and user‑facing components supporting batch job configuration, execution, monitoring, and reporting.Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives.Collaborate with product management, architecture, quality engineering, and operations teams to translate moderately complex requirements into working software solutions.Write, review, and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts and support documentation.Apply secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices throughout the development process.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues of moderate complexity in development, test, and production environments.Continuously develop technical skills and maintain awareness of relevant tools, frameworks, and technologies. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Professional experience in software development or related occupations.Experience developing applications using object‑oriented programming languages (e.g., Java or similar).Experience with web application development, including front‑end frameworks and backend service integration.Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting batch processing, job orchestration, or large‑scale data‑processing platforms.Familiarity with cloud‑based platforms and distributed systems.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and source‑control systems.Experience working in regulated, compliance‑driven, or risk‑management environments. U.S. National Base Pay Range: $71,600 - $119,400. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
