Senior Software Engineer 📍 Remote (USA) | Full-time | $175K–$225K base + equity About the Company Our client is a fast-growing, VC-backed startup (backed by a16z and Bessemer) building the infrastructure that connects $150B+ in HSA/FSA healthcare spending to health and wellness brands. They partner with leading consumer health and wellness companies to make everyday wellness products eligible for tax-free healthcare dollars — handling the medical documentation and checkout integration behind the scenes. About the Role We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (3–10 years of experience) to own and build checkout experiences on a high-traffic consumer platform. You're primarily front-end focused, but comfortable diving into backend models and APIs when a feature calls for it. You'll join a small, autonomous engineering team with real end-to-end ownership over what you ship — this isn't a role where you pick up tickets from a backlog. What You'll Do Own large, user-facing checkout features from inception to completion — optimizing conversion and building world-class consumer experiencesWork primarily on the front end (NextJS, React, TypeScript) while diving into backend Django models and APIs when the work requires itCollaborate directly with product, marketing, and design to shape the checkout flowOptimize page load performance, rendering, and core web vitalsHelp establish front-end norms and standards while contributing to backend systems and data models What We're Looking For 3–10 years of software engineering experience, with a strong front-end focus and full-stack capabilityComfortable working across NextJS, React, TypeScript, and Python/DjangoUnderstand databases well enough to write clean, efficient queries (deep infra/AWS expertise not required)Experience shipping large, user-facing features end-to-endThrive in a small, high-ownership, fast-moving team environment Compensation & Benefits $175K–$225K base salary + competitive equityMedical, dental, and vision coverageEmployer-sponsored HSA contributions401(k)Unlimited PTOCoworking stipendLearning & development stipendOpen to visa transfers (OPT, H1B) Location & Work Policy Fully remote, US-based (including Hawaii and Alaska), any time zone.
