Position Summary We are seeking an experienced AEM Full Stack Developer to join our Studio / Technology team at INNOCEAN Canada on a full-time, permanent basis in Toronto (Hybrid). This role sits at the intersection of deep AEM expertise and full stack development, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade digital experiences across the entire software development lifecycle. You will build AEM templates, components, and integrations while contributing front-end craftsmanship and back-end services that extend AEM into the broader technology ecosystem. Partnering closely with project managers, designers, UX, and development teams, you'll translate creative vision into scalable, high-performing, and maintainable solutions from pixel to platform. Key Responsibilities AEM Development Participate in all phases of the AEM development lifecycle, including estimation, technical design, implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and ongoing supportBuild and maintain AEM templates, components, dialogs, workflows, models, and services using Touch UI and modern component frameworksConfigure and manage DAM asset metadata, metadata schemas, and workflowsDesign and optimize dispatcher and CDN caching strategies to improve performance and scalabilitySupport AEM Multi-Site Manager implementations and content governance strategiesFront-End Development Translate wireframes and creative designs into high-quality, responsive front-end implementationsBuild and maintain component libraries using modern JavaScript frameworks, HTML, and CSS/SASSEnsure cross-browser compatibility and responsive behaviour across devicesCollaborate with UX, creative, and development teams to uphold high standards for digital experience qualityBack-End Development & Integration Design, develop, and consume RESTful APIs to integrate AEM with third-party systems, Adobe Experience Cloud products, and other platformsBuild and maintain server-side logic, services, and database structures supporting AEM and related platformsSupport ETL processes and data workflows tied to campaign, CRM, and content systemsApply security, performance, and scalability best practices across all implementationsCollaboration & Delivery Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teamsParticipate in estimation, technical planning, and solution designWork within Agile delivery environments, contributing to sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives Qualifications & Experience Skills and Behaviour 3โ€“5 years of hands-on experience delivering full-cycle AEM implementations using version 6.3 or higherStrong experience with CRX and JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, and OSGi frameworksAdvanced understanding of dispatcher configuration, caching strategies, and CDN optimization5+ years of front-end development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS, including modern frameworks such as ReactHands-on experience with Java and JEE, Spring, and test-driven developmentSolid understanding of REST API development and integration with third-party and Adobe systemsExperience with MySQL or similar relational databasesComfortable working in Agile or SAFe Agile environments with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Git Education and Experience Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science or equivalent experienceMinimum 3โ€“5 years of combined AEM and full stack development experienceFamiliarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Analytics, Target, Campaign, Audience Manager) is an assetExposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud or AWS is an assetExperience with other CMS platforms (Sitecore, Drupal, CoreMedia) is an asset What you'll love about working at INNOCEAN Canada People-first and Inclusive of all, we're proud to be recognized by 'Great Places to Work' FIVE years in a row and counting - overall, as well as for youth, inclusion, and as a Best Place to Work for WomenFlexible hybrid work set up (2 days in winter; 3 days in summer) with an awesome space at King Street West for collaboration and team get-togethersGenerous time off plus an end of year winter break; our people also get extra days off when they reach key work milestones!Your Wellbeing is all-important - A Fully employer paid benefits coverage, flex spending wellness account, RRSPs, confidential individual counselling, and paid personal daysLearning and development fund, and coaching and mentorship in your day-to-day to fuel your growth Additional information: This is an active, approved role.
