DevOps Engineer

Essential Skills Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including virtual machines (VMs), monitoring, Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), and resource management.Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically using Azure DevOps, to support automated builds, tests, and deployments.Strong in cloud infrastructure and software deployment within Azure environments.Experience designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, preferably using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts including VNets, subnets, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, NSGs, and load balancers or firewalls.Practical experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Datadog, SolarWinds Orion, and similar solutions.Scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate operational tasks and build tooling for infrastructure and application management.Knowledge of identity and access management, network security, and data protection best practices within cloud environments.Ability to design and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies for critical systems and services.Experience collaborating with development, QA, security, and operations teams in an agile environment.Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Azure DevOps for automated resource provisioning and configuration.Familiarity with source control and DevOps tooling including Azure Repos and GitHub.Exposure to code quality and security scanning tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, or Veracode.Experience with secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault.Hands-on experience with observability platforms such as Splunk and Datadog for log analysis and performance monitoring.managing relational and non-relational databases, including schema design, optimization, and complex query development.Experience integrating and maintaining messaging systems such as RabbitMQ in microservices and distributed architectures.Understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2, and their impact on cloud and DevOps practices.Experience implementing zero-downtime deployment strategies and rollback mechanisms.Comfort working in agile teams and participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.Interest in continuous learning and staying up to date with emerging Azure services, DevOps tools, and best practices.Ability to mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
