Java Backend Developer

We are strengthening a development team with a Mid-Level Java Backend Developer to join an international project, contributing to the creation and development of scalable, microservices-oriented solutions. Requirements: Approximately 4 years of professional experience in backend development using Java;Experience in developing scalable microservices;Knowledge of REST APIs and GraphQL;Experience with OpenAPI for API documentation;Knowledge of Keycloak and/or Okta, particularly regarding IAM flows, OIDC, RBAC and token customisation;Experience or knowledge of event-driven architectures;Knowledge of AWS SQS and/or Solace Messaging;Experience with code quality and security tools, such as SonarQube and Snyk;Good collaboration, communication and teamwork skills;Fluency in Portuguese and English (C1). Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable Java microservices for the Checkout, MyAccount and ODR Processing features;Oversee the full lifecycle of the features, from architecture discussions through to implementation, testing, code review and deployment;Integrate and configure IAM flows with Keycloak and Okta, including OIDC, RBAC and token customisation;Develop and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring they are properly documented via OpenAPI;Implement event-driven architecture patterns, using AWS SQS and Solace Messaging;Ensure quality and security standards are met using tools such as SonarQube and Snyk, as well as through code review practices;Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to the definition and evolution of engineering standards;Support the team’s development through mentoring and knowledge sharing with more junior developers.
