Description

We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer. You'll work closely with a cross-functional R&D organization to strengthen our technical foundations, automate deployments, improve system reliability, and ensure security is built into our infrastructure and development processes. This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, digging into root causes, and continuously improving the way software is developed, deployed, and secured. This role is open to US Citizens and Green Card holders. This will be an On-site role in the Dallas, TX What You'll Do Deploy and maintain critical applications within a cloud-native, microservices-based architectureDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environmentsBuild and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as CodeDevelop automation that improves deployment quality, reliability, and velocityImplement effective monitoring, observability, and alerting across applications and infrastructureApply security best practices and controls across cloud and traditional IT environmentsMonitor systems for potential threats and vulnerabilities and support security prevention and detection effortsPartner with software engineers and cross-functional R&D teams to integrate security and reliability throughout the development lifecycleSupport incident response, disaster recovery, and incident management, including regular recovery drillsPerform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative solutionsMonitor service-level indicators and help ensure systems consistently meet service-level objectivesSupport capacity planning, performance testing, and infrastructure scalability as demand growsCommunicate technical and security risks clearly to help inform business decisionsContribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and knowledge sharingParticipate in an on-call rotation with the R&D teamStay current with emerging DevOps, SRE, cloud, and security technologies and help share knowledge across the organization What You'll Bring 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, SRE, or a related engineering roleExperience working with Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deploymentsHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud infrastructure managementExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applicationsStrong understanding of cloud-native architectures and microservicesSoftware development and scripting experience, such as Python, Bash, or similarStrong knowledge of Linux, networking, infrastructure, and applicationsUnderstanding of cloud security, security controls, threat detection, and vulnerability managementExperience with monitoring, observability, incident response, and root cause analysisSolid understanding of availability, uptime, disaster recovery, release management, and security best practicesAbility to analyze complex technical information, identify risks, and recommend improvementsStrong problem-solving skills and curiosity - you want to understand the root cause rather than simply fix the immediate issuePassion for automation, continuous improvement, and using data to improve reliabilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Desired Skills and Experience 3+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment across multiple environments Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar Experience with Docker and Kubernetes / containerized, cloud-native environments Strong Linux, networking, infrastructure, and application knowledge Software development and scripting experience, with the ability to work across multiple technologies Experience implementing security controls and best practices across cloud and traditional IT environments Knowledge of security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and protective monitoring Experience with incident response, disaster recovery, and root cause analysis Strong understanding of system availability, uptime, SLOs/SLIs, monitoring, and observability Experience with automation, infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, and performance/load testing Ability to identify, assess, and communicate technical and security risks Strong understanding of information security, data protection, and security risk principles Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline preferred Oscar Associates Limited (US) is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
