Job Summary The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting the cloud infrastructure behind a commercial real estate loan management platform. This role ensures the scalability, reliability, and security of systems that support billions of dollars in loan transactions while enabling engineering teams to deliver solutions quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience with cloud platforms, automation, containerization, and DevOps practices, along with a passion for building highly available, scalable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure (or other major cloud platforms as needed).Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS).Configure and maintain cloud networking components (VPCs, subnets, load balancers).Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage costs effectively.Architect and implement auto-scaling and high availability solutions.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell).Implement and manage GitOps workflows for infrastructure changes.Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.Assist with incident response, conducting post-incident reviews, and managing disaster recovery and business continuity processes.Implement infrastructure security controls, manage secrets/credentials, and support compliance requirements (SOC 2, PCI DSS).Collaborate with engineering, database, and security teams to support application deployment, database performance, and security initiatives.Document infrastructure architectures, procedures, and provide mentorship and on-call support as needed.
