Software Engineer

The Software Engineer position at HRK Technologies Inc. focuses on application engineering, modular code design, API integration, and maintaining scalable enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Core Development: Build, test, and deploy software applications and modular components across client projects and internal platforms.API & Service Integration: Build and integrate RESTful web services to connect backend data layers with user interfaces and third-party systems.System Maintenance & Debugging: Analyze existing codebase functionality, patch software defects, and refactor legacy code for optimal performance.Testing & Quality Control: Write unit tests and run integration scripts to ensure code stability, performance, and security standard compliance.Agile Collaboration: Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, peer code reviews, and architecture discussion sessions.Technical Documentation: Maintain software documentation, architecture diagrams, and release/deployment guides. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.Programming Skills: Strong command of core object-oriented languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or C++).Computer Science Fundamentals: Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design patterns, and software architecture principles.Databases & Querying: Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL query writing.Version Control & Workflows: Practical knowledge of Git, GitHub/GitLab repository management, pull request workflows, and modern web protocols.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong debugging capabilities and systematic troubleshooting skills for complex application logic.
