Join the team that is building the EV charging industry and make your mark on how people and goods will get everywhere they need to go, in any context, for generations to come.Reports To Senior Staff Software Engineer What You Will Be Doing Develop and support scalable customer platforms and modern web applications, primarily using React.js and TypeScript, with the ability to contribute to backend services in Java when needed. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role focused on building high-quality, performant frontend applications and micro-frontend architectures, while collaborating closely with backend teams on API-first, integration-driven platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong frontend engineer with deep React/TypeScript expertise who is also comfortable working across the stack — able to read, debug, and make contributions to Java/Spring Boot backend services, integrate with Kafka-driven event systems, and understand cloud-native deployment practices. What You Will Bring to ChargePoint Build responsive, accessible, and maintainable frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript Design and implement micro-frontend architectures (e.g., Module Federation) and shared component/design systems Own frontend state management, data fetching, and caching (e.g., TanStack Query), forms and validation (React Hook Form + Zod) Write frontend unit/integration tests (Vitest, Testing Library) and maintain strong test coverage Consume and integrate RESTful APIs, documented via OpenAPI/Swagger, and troubleshoot integration issues across the stack Working familiarity with event-driven backend patterns (Kafka) and relational databases (MySQL) to reason about end-to-end data flow Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and engineering best practices across the full stack Collaborate with cross-functional teams on solution implementation and delivery Support CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering workflows Comfortable using modern AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, etc.) to enhance engineering productivity and development workflows Requirements 6+ years of software engineering experience, with the majority focused on frontend/UI development Expert-level experience with React.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling (build systems, testing, state management) Strong understanding of REST APIs, integration patterns, and scalable application design Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and event-driven systems (Kafka) is a plus Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern engineering workflows Familiarity with AI/LLM APIs or AI-assisted engineering tools is preferred Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers Working Knowledge of Java and Spring Boot is a good to have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred Location Bangalore, Karnataka We are committed to an inclusive and diverse team.
