Reporting to the Director, Application Services, the Workflow Automation Developer designs, builds, and supports workflow and process-automation solutions across the firm’s low-code and automation platforms, including ServiceNow, the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and Intapp Open, together with the integrations and supporting services that connect them to the firm’s core legal, financial, and business systems. The role partners with business stakeholders to transform manual and complex processes into reliable automated workflows. Custom development in C#/.NET and SQL supports integrations, backend services, and enterprise application needs where platform configuration alone is not sufficient. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support workflow and automation solutions using platforms such as ServiceNow and Microsoft Power Platform.Work with business teams to understand their processes, identify opportunities for automation, and develop solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual work.Build and maintain integrations between different business applications and systems using APIs, connectors, and other integration tools.Develop custom solutions and supporting applications using technologies such as C#/.NET and SQL when low-code tools alone cannot meet business needs.Test, troubleshoot, and maintain existing workflows, applications, and integrations to ensure they are reliable and perform as expected.Collaborate with IT and business teams to implement new solutions, support system changes, and manage releases and upgrades.Maintain appropriate documentation, security, and development standards for automation solutions.Stay current with emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and identify opportunities to use them to improve business processes. Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years of experience in software development, workflow automation, systems integration, or a related field.Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Hands-on experience developing workflow or automation solutions using a low-code platform, such as ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, or a similar platform.Experience with software development and programming languages such as C#/.NET and JavaScript.Experience working with SQL and databases.Experience connecting different applications or systems using APIs, integrations, or other integration tools.Strong ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on improving processes and finding efficient solutions.Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, testing, documentation, and reliable solutions.Demonstrated sound judgment when working with confidential and sensitive information. Nice to Have: Experience with ServiceNow, Microsoft Power Platform, Intapp, or other workflow and automation platforms.Experience working in a professional services, legal, financial, or other complex business environment.Experience with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.Experience using AI or emerging technologies to improve business processes. Salary Range (Toronto Only): $100,000- $110,000 annually. The position is for an existing vacancy.
