Required Skills & Experience • 7+ years of experience in software engineering experience within investment banking or financial services • Proficiency in Java with a strong understanding of the JVM, garbage collection data structures, concurrency, and non-blocking I/O • Experience designing and building applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) • Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, deployment patterns, scalability, resilience, and managed services, with hands-on experience building and deploying solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Experience working within Agile development teams and utilizing modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, automation, and monitoring • Strong communication and collaboration skills Nice to Have Skills & Experience • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications and leveraging modern AI services, frameworks, or platforms to solve practical business problems • Experience supporting or developing solutions within the Prime Brokerage business domain • Background designing or supporting trading platforms or other mission-critical financial systems Job Description Insight Global is seeking someone who will be responsible for designing, developing, and enhancing a global Collateral Treasury trading platform supporting multiple HSBC legal entities across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The engineer will partner closely with trading desks, product teams, and global technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and high-quality solutions while contributing to the platform's long-term architecture and strategic direction. This individual will also collaborate with Compliance, Non-Financial Risk (NFR), and other control functions to ensure the platform meets regulatory and governance requirements. Success in this role requires strong technical leadership, effective stakeholder engagement, and the ability to influence the future evolution of a business-critical trading platform. The day to day will be 20% support (application and region support), 20% coordination, and 60% of full software development lifecycle. Compensation: 60 CAD. to 70 CAD. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
