Description

About the role We're hiring a Technical Product Manager to own a core surface of our platform end to end — from problem definition through architecture trade-offs, launch, and iteration. You'll sit between engineering, design, and go-to-market, and you'll be expected to hold your own in a systems design review and in a customer conversation on the same afternoon. This is a builder’s role, not a roadmap-administration role. You will write specs, pressure-test technical approaches with staff engineers, define success metrics, and be accountable for outcomes. What you'll do Own the product strategy and roadmap for [platform area / API / data infrastructure], grounded in customer research and quantitative analysis.Translate ambiguous business problems into crisp technical requirementsPRDs, user stories, acceptance criteriathat engineering can build against without a translation layer.Partner with engineering leadership on architecture and build-vs-buy decisions; understand the trade-offs well enough to disagree productively.Define and instrument the metrics that matter. Run experiments, read the results honestly, and kill what isn’t working.Drive cross-functional launches with design, engineering, sales, and marketing including the unglamorous parts: migration plans, deprecation notices, internal enablement.Communicate up and out: executive readouts, customer briefings, board-level narratives. What we're looking for 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years on technical products (APIs, developer platforms, data/ML infrastructure, or backend systems).Experience at a top-tier firm. We are specifically interested in candidates who have operated at scale and to a high bar e.g., a leading strategy consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), a Big Four advisory practice, or a large-scale technology company (Google, Meta, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Netflix, or comparable). What we are screening for is the underlying capability: structured problem-solving, executive-grade communication, and a track record of shipping in complex, high-stakes organizations.Technical fluency. You can read a system design doc, query a database, and reason about latency, scalability, and technical debt.Demonstrated ownership of a product with meaningful revenue or usage with specifics you can walk us through.Exceptional written communication.NYC-based or willing to relocate; this role requires regular in-person collaboration.Nice to have Prior experience with legal industry.CS, engineering, or quantitative degree. MBA welcome but not required.
