About the Role Penguin Random House IT is seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer to join a small, agile development team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to contribute to web projects across the PRH Applications suite and deliver reliable, high-quality features for both internal and external users. The role combines frontend and backend development with RESTful API development, automation, and modern cloud technologies. You will collaborate closely with business teams, internal stakeholders, and external resources to design, develop, maintain, and improve web applications. Responsibilities Develop and maintain frontend and backend components for web applications.Build and enhance WordPress-based websites and applications.Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs.Create scalable and maintainable solutions that support internal and external users.Collaborate with business units to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.Work with external development resources and technical partners when required.Develop automation that improves development and operational workflows.Deploy and maintain applications using modern cloud infrastructure.Work with AWS services to support reliable and scalable web solutions.Use Docker and containerized development environments where appropriate.Participate in CI/CD processes and automated software delivery.Troubleshoot application issues and implement appropriate fixes.Follow software development best practices for security, performance, maintainability, and reliability.Contribute to an agile development process through planning, development, testing, and continuous improvement.Support existing applications while contributing to new web projects and features. Qualifications Professional experience in full-stack web development.Experience developing both frontend and backend web applications.Experience working with WordPress and web content management systems.Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration.Experience with modern web development technologies and frameworks.Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.Experience with Docker and containerized application environments.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices.Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.Ability to work effectively in an agile and collaborative environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple development tasks and deliver high-quality solutions.
