ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer, you will own the end-to-end cloud infrastructure and deployment pipeline for InfoTrack Canada.
You will unblock critical environment work, accelerate developer velocity through faster builds and reproducible environments, and provide same-timezone incident response for Canadian operations.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of infrastructure engineering, DevSecOps, and emerging AI platform delivery — sitting within InfoTrack’s Global IT team and working closely with engineering squads across Australia, the US, and Canada.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the staging/production environment separation projects end to end, delivering a clean, stable environment topology the whole org can build on.Re-architect and optimise our CI/CD pipelines so build and deployment times drop meaningfully — developer velocity is your scoreboard, not just uptime.Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code that makes every environment reproducible, auditable, and version-controlled.
If it's not in code, it doesn't count.Be the first line of same-timezone incident response for Canadian systems, reducing how much we lean on Australia and US teams during local outages.Stand up on-demand, ephemeral environments to power our AI prototyping initiative — isolated, short-lived environments engineers can spin up and tear down without friction.Partner with engineering, product, and security teams to keep infrastructure decisions aligned with business needs and security standards, not made in a vacuum.Define and track the KPIs that matter — infrastructure reliability, build performance, deployment frequency, environment availability — and report on them in a way senior stakeholders can act on.Liaise with global infrastructure and DevOps peers in Australia, the US, and the UK to keep shared platforms, tooling, and standards aligned across regions.Own the security and compliance posture of our cloud platform — from best-practice implementation to audit-readiness — and bring a strategic point of view on where our infrastructure roadmap should go next.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
5+ years of progressive experience in cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps, with hands-on depth on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as primary cloud; hands-on experience with AWS, GCP & Azure is a plus.
You've shipped infrastructure work, not just planned it.Proven experience automating infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools such as Terraform or Pulumi — you think in code-defined environments by default.Strong experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD is required; familiarity with NX monorepo tooling is a nice-to-have.Strong experience automating Windows and Linux server management on cloud infrastructure — manual server upkeep isn't how you operate.Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB, API gateways (e.g.
Kong), and routing & networking (e.g.
Istio, VPCs) — this is a full-stack infrastructure role, not a single-tool specialty.A track record of building strong working relationships with developers, dev managers, tech leads, and solution architects.
You'll need to earn credibility with engineering teams fast, not just with infrastructure peers. The ability to equip a team of engineers with the right tools and insights to make good decisions, and to maintain a strong infrastructure-as-code mentality across the platform.Working knowledge of monitoring and logging systems — Datadog, Elastic Search, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus — and comfort turning that data into reports senior management can act on.Experience with ISO/SOC 2 compliance or equivalent best-practice frameworks (e.g., Wiz), plus familiarity with security tooling such as SIEM and CrowdStrike, and enough security fluency to speak to penetration testing and remediation strategy.Strong documentation instincts and excellent communication skills — you can make a highly technical environment legible to engineers and executives alike.A strategic mindset: you can define, influence, and communicate an ambitious cloud infrastructure roadmap, not just execute someone else's.
COMPENSATION
The base salary range for this role is $130,000 – $150,000 CAD annually, plus a performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary tied to team and company metrics.
