About the Opportunity:
The Full Stack Engineer plays a key role in building and scaling the technology behind an AI-powered digital companion designed for neurodivergent students.
This role spans backend, AI, mobile, databases, cloud infrastructure, and observability, with a focus on creating accessible, reliable, and engaging experiences.
The position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment while contributing directly to products that help users reduce cognitive strain and increase independence.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain Python and FastAPI backend services running on AWS ECS Fargate.
• Develop and enhance AI-powered multi-agent workflows using Amazon Bedrock and LangGraph.
• Implement and optimize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and semantic memory systems.
• Develop mobile application features using React Native, Flutter, or native iOS and Android technologies.
• Build lightweight 2D gamification features and student progression functionality.
• Integrate GPS and geolocation capabilities for educational use cases.
• Design and manage data models across PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and MongoDB Atlas.
• Support AWS infrastructure, Terraform configurations, and cloud security practices.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Support mobile application releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play.
• Monitor application performance and reliability using New Relic, OpenTelemetry, AWS X-Ray, and related tools.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and other teams to translate ideas into dependable and accessible products.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of professional software engineering experience developing production applications, APIs, or mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python, preferably with experience using FastAPI.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure and CI/CD automation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Genuine interest in accessibility, inclusion, and technology designed to improve users' lives.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or other AI/LLM technologies.
• Experience with React Native, Flutter, Swift, or Kotlin.
• Experience building RAG systems, semantic memory, or vector database solutions.
• Familiarity with AWS ECS Fargate, Terraform, or MongoDB Atlas Vector Search.
• Experience with Google OR-Tools or CP-SAT.
• Experience deploying and maintaining mobile applications through major app stores.
• Familiarity with application observability and monitoring tools.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
