Description

For one of our clients in Utrecht, we are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer / Kotlin Engineer. In this role, you will work on complex backend solutions within a fintech environment, with a strong focus on compliance and transaction processing. You will take direct responsibility for the technical delivery and operate at a senior level within a team that maintains high engineering standards. Responsibilities Design and develop robust backend services using Kotlin and Spring Boot.Build and implement solutions within the fintech domain, taking regulatory and compliance requirements into account.Contribute to technical challenges related to KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and AML.Advise on architecture, design, and technical decisions at a senior level.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the continuous improvement and development of existing systems.Take ownership of the technical implementation and ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Requirements 8+ years of professional experience as a Backend Developer; additional experience is a strong advantage.Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot.Experience working within the fintech or financial services domain is highly desirable.Knowledge of KYC, Transaction Monitoring, and/or AML is a strong plus.Strong understanding of backend architecture, software design, and engineering best practices.Ability to operate independently and effectively at a senior technical level.
