Description

We are looking for a developer for a software development company that builds bespoke, business-critical systems for customers. Here is the spec:- Has around 5+ years of professional .NET / C# backend development experience and can work independently at a senior level. Is comfortable owning technical decisions and deliveries, rather than needing detailed direction from others. Wants to understand why something is being built and the customer’s underlying business problem, rather than simply coding against a predefined specification. Has a strong interest in AI-assisted software development and is actively experimenting with AI tools to become faster and more effective as an engineer. Enjoys improving the wider engineering environment by sharing knowledge, creating reusable patterns/templates and introducing better development practices. Is comfortable working across several projects or customer engagements simultaneously. Ideally has a relevant degree, although strong commercial experience can compensate for formal education. Doesn't need to be an AI engineer specifically, but should be curious about how AI is changing software engineering and want to embrace that change.
