Description
We are seeking a Red Hat Linux Administrator with strong hands-on experience in RHEL server administration, OS patching, hardening, environment configuration, and production support.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the availability, performance, security, and reliability of Linux environments across development, testing, and production.
Responsibilities
Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers across enterprise environments.Perform OS installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and system hardening.Monitor server health, performance, capacity, and availability, and troubleshoot system-level issues.Manage users, groups, permissions, services, filesystems, processes, and system configurations.Support production environments and participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and configuration standards.Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell scripting and/or Ansible.Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and system configuration records.
Requirements
4–6 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration, preferably in enterprise production environments.Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and troubleshooting.Good understanding of Linux networking, filesystems, storage, DNS, SSH, systemd, processes, and permissions.Experience with OS patching, server hardening, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.Hands-on experience with Shell scripting and/or Ansible.Familiarity with monitoring, logging, backup, and enterprise infrastructure tools.Experience working in 24x7 production support environments and following ITIL-based operational processes.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and incident-management skills.RHCSA/RHCE certification or equivalent experience will be an advantage.
