Why this role matters
We are building a brand-new in-House CRM system designed to power our core internal business operations.
We are currently driving the product from the early architectural and business analysis phase into active development.
Our team is embarking on an exciting technical transformation - transitioning our backend ecosystem to Go using a modern microservices architecture, gRPC, Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
As the Senior Backend Software Engineer, Golang in this team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our system architecture, setting engineering standards, and mentoring talented engineers as we re-shape our tech stack for long-term scalability.
The role is based in our office in Limassol, Cyprus.

What you'll actually do
Consistently deliver core product features that meet functional and non-functional requirements.Write clean, secure, efficient code, perform thorough testing and debugging, and ensure seamless integration with other components while optimizing for scalability and addressing technical debt.Write well-documented code and automation tests with strong coverage.
Improve testing practices across the team.Conduct code reviews, offer constructive feedback, and maintain documentation that meets company standards.
Constantly work to improve code quality.Tackle complex architectural and performance problems.Drive improvements to service latency, fault tolerance, and resilience in high-load environments.Prepare clear technical documentation and contribute to internal knowledge bases.Promote and apply clean code principles and best engineering practices.Automate repetitive tasks and contribute to performance optimizations.Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for beneficial adoption.Participate in technical interviews, share knowledge with peers, and contribute to improving team processes and standards.Suggest and drive technical improvements.Support onboarding and ongoing growth of team members.
Who We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.5+ years of overall experience in backend software development, with at least 3 years of commercial experience with Go as your primary language.Strong understanding of SOLID principles, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, microservice design patterns, and establishing context boundaries.Strong qualifications in Go concurrency, async development, and high-throughput system design.Solid hands-on experience interfacing with PostgreSQL and Redis.Proven experience with Kafka for event-driven architecture, alongside constructing REST APIs and using gRPC for internal microservice communication.Strong skills in building reliable and scalable services (design, APIs, storage, testing, CI/CD).Advanced knowledge of writing clean code, unit testing, and integration testing.Solid knowledge of modern development practices (version control, reviews, branching, releases).Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, system design, and integration patterns.Solid experience with DevOps tools and practices: operating systems, monitoring, networking models, virtualization, and containerization.Experience in debugging, profiling, and code optimizations.A mature, senior mindset with the willingness to act as a Go Subject Matter Expert - guiding, mentoring, and helping upskill engineers transitioning from other languages (e.g., Java) to Go.High level of autonomy, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to driving tasks independently from design to production.English level B2+.
Nice to Have
Exposure to Temporal (workflow orchestration), Traefik, Keycloak, or basic Terraform is a strong plus.
