Software Engineer

Role Description As a Software Developer, you will work across different products and customer projects within the Neurotechnology product family. The technologies used vary by project and may include Java, C#/.NET, C/C++, Kotlin or Swift for mobile development, and React with TypeScript for web development. Assignments are primarily determined by product and project needs. We also take your experience, strengths, and interests into account. The role may therefore involve both deepening your knowledge in familiar technologies and learning new ones when a project requires it. This is a varied software development role rather than a position tied to a single application, platform, or technology stack. You are not expected to know every language or framework listed. Strong programming fundamentals, practical experience with at least one relevant technology, and a willingness to learn are more important. Responsibilities Develop and maintain software across Neurotechnology products and customer projects.Build backend services, desktop, mobile, or web applications, libraries, APIs, and system integrations as required.Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Investigate and resolve software bugs, performance problems, and integration issues.Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and project teams to deliver reliable solutions.Improve and document the reliability, security, performance, and maintainability of existing systems. Requirements Practical software development experience with one or more languages such as Java, C#/.NET, C/C++, Kotlin, Swift, or JavaScript/TypeScript.Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and common software architecture patterns.Experience with version control, debugging, and software testing.Familiarity with APIs, databases, and application integration.Willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies and move between different products and projects.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Nice to Have Qualifications Experience with multiple programming languages or application platforms.Android, iOS, or React web development experience.Experience with REST APIs, distributed systems, or SQL databases.Familiarity with Linux, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud technologies.Experience developing multithreaded or performance-sensitive software.
