About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Java Developer (m/w/d) to join our team either in Berlin or remotely. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming innovative ideas into tangible software products that address socially relevant issues. Your work will directly contribute to advancing digitalization in Germany by developing high-quality applications using modern Java frameworks and tools. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, engaging in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from conception through deployment and maintenance. Your expertise will help ensure our solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with the latest industry standards. Qualifications Completed university degree or comparable qualification in computer science or a related field.Proficiency in Java application development, utilizing current frameworks such as Spring Boot or similar.Experience with tools like Jenkins and GIT for version control and CI/CD pipelines.Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman, preferably within cloud environments.Basic understanding of containerization concepts and a keen interest in DevOps practices.Interest in integrating AI tools into software development processes, with the ability to evaluate and apply these tools effectively.Enthusiasm for agile methodologies and a motivation to continuously explore new technologies and industry trends.Excellent command of the German language, minimum C1 proficiency. Responsibilities Engage deeply with the technical challenges faced by our clients and develop innovative solutions tailored to their needs.Design and implement user stories collaboratively within the team, primarily using Java.Create and maintain automated tests to ensure high code quality and reliability.Conduct code reviews and participate in pair programming sessions to enhance code standards and facilitate knowledge sharing.Utilize and optimize the established CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools, and workflows.Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into projects.
