About The Role As a Senior React Native Developer (m/f/d) based in Hamburg, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cross-platform mobile applications for some of Germany’s leading brands, including EDEKA, Marktkauf, and Trinkgut. You will be part of an agile team dedicated to creating seamless, high-performance user experiences for millions of registered users. Your expertise will help shape the future of our digital retail solutions, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and innovative. You will work with a state-of-the-art technology stack, including TypeScript, RxJS, React Native, Redux, Styled Components, Jest, and Storybook, to develop new features, enhance existing functionalities, and contribute to our server-driven UI framework. Your responsibilities will also involve collaborating closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend developers to understand requirements and deliver optimal technical solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the architecture and technical design of our mobile applications while continuously improving performance and user experience. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a degree or vocational qualification in IT or a related field, complemented by proven experience in developing cross-platform applications using React Native within a product-based environment. You should possess solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React Native, and Redux or similar state management libraries. A deep understanding of mobile ecosystems, including iOS and Android platform-specific considerations, is essential. Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, along with familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Detox, or Appium, is required. You should also have strong skills in version control tools like git and CI/CD pipelines, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or Fastlane. Excellent problem-solving abilities, team collaboration skills, and proactive communication are vital. Willingness to travel regularly to Amsterdam for collaboration with our partner company, Picnic Technologies, is also expected. Fluency in German (minimum C1) and good English skills (minimum B2) are necessary for effective communication. Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality, cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native and TypeScript.Contribute to the architecture and technical design of new features and applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.Implement new functionalities, features, and UI components in line with product requirements and user needs.Ensure code quality through rigorous code reviews, adherence to best practices, and the implementation of automated tests (unit, integration, end-to-end).Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex bugs and issues, continuously optimizing app performance and user experience.Participate in the evaluation of new technologies and trends, assessing their applicability to enhance our products.Support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge and fostering a collaborative team environment.Maintain documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
