Integration Developer - HL7 / Healthcare Permanent | City Fringe | Hybrid working About the Role We're partnering with one of Victoria's leading healthcare organisations to find an Integration Developer to join its Application Delivery team. This is a hands-on integration role working across the development, delivery and ongoing support of integrations connecting critical clinical, corporate and business systems. You'll work across both new technology initiatives and the existing integration environment, taking integrations through the full lifecycle from development and testing through to deployment, monitoring and production support. There are several significant technology programs underway, creating plenty of opportunity to work on new integrations alongside the day-to-day management and improvement of existing services. About You The biggest thing we're looking for is hands-on HL7 experience. You don't need to come from one specific integration platform. Experience with Rhapsody, Mirth, Azure Integration Services or a similar integration technology is relevant. What matters is your understanding of healthcare integration and your ability to develop, troubleshoot and support integrations through their full lifecycle. You'll ideally bring: Strong hands-on experience with HL7 v2 and healthcare integrationsExperience developing, supporting and troubleshooting interfaces between clinical and/or enterprise applicationsExperience with an integration platform such as Rhapsody, Mirth, Azure Integration Services or similarStrong experience developing and working with APIs and data integrationsExposure to FHIR would be highly regardedExperience monitoring integrations, investigating failed interfaces and undertaking root-cause analysisExperience supporting testing, deployments, releases, upgrades and system implementationsAn understanding of integration patterns and secure data exchange between systemsThe ability to work across both new project delivery and production/BAU supportStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with developers, testers, application teams, infrastructure, vendors and business stakeholdersYou may currently be working as an Integration Developer, Integration Engineer, HL7 Developer, Interface Developer, Integration Analyst or Technical Application Analyst. We're more interested in your hands-on integration capability than your current job title. What You'll Be Doing You'll be responsible for integrations throughout their lifecycle, including: Developing and maintaining integrations across clinical, corporate and business applicationsWorking with HL7 messages and healthcare data flowsDeveloping and supporting APIs and application integrationsSupporting new systems and integration requirements from development through to productionMonitoring interfaces and investigating errors, failed messages and service interruptionsTroubleshooting incidents and undertaking technical and root-cause analysisWorking closely with testing teams to support integration and acceptance testingSupporting releases, deployments, upgrades and migrationsWorking with internal technology teams and external vendors to resolve integration issuesContributing to the ongoing stability and improvement of the integration environmentParticipating in occasional after-hours/on-call support where required Why Join?
