About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge digital products used by commercial teams to better understand and engage with their customers. Based within a modern, cloud-based environment, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the next generation of customer-facing platforms. This position is hybrid, offering flexibility within Midlands or South regions, and involves hands-on technical leadership from initial design through to deployment and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will possess extensive full-stack development experience, particularly with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js, and will be passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable solutions. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development with over 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years specializing in JavaScript and TypeScript. A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent practical background is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and experience building large SaaS platforms for production environments. Familiarity with modern development practices such as CI/CD, DevSecOps, and cloud infrastructure (AWS) is required. A commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles and design patterns is crucial. Excellent collaboration skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commercial mindset are also necessary to succeed in this role. Responsibilities Lead technical delivery across a high-performing development team of 10+ members, ensuring timely and quality outputs.Contribute to solution design, system architecture, and domain modeling to support scalable and robust platforms.Build proof-of-concepts and spike complex or uncertain areas to validate approaches and inform decision-making.Break down requirements into manageable epics and user stories in collaboration with product and initiative managers.Develop and deliver production-ready code across the full technology stack, maintaining high standards of quality and security.Support and enhance live systems post-deployment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.Influence technical strategy, tooling, and best practices across the wider engineering team to foster continuous improvement.Stay updated with emerging technologies, including AI, to incorporate innovative solutions into development processes.
