Azure Integration Engineer

Hiring: Azure Integration Developer / Engineer | Melbourne | 12-Month Contract (Extension Likely) | Hybrid VAT Talent is partnering with an enterprise client to find an experienced Azure Integration Developer / Engineer to support the design, development and implementation of integrations across their application landscape. This is a hands-on integration role — not application development — for someone who can independently take an integration requirement from design through to production. Location: Melbourne (Hybrid — 2-3 days per week in office) Engagement: Contract / Resource Augmentation — 12-month fixed term, with likely extension What you'll be doing: - Designing, developing, testing and deploying integrations using Microsoft Azure integration servicesBuilding and maintaining APIs, system-to-system integrations and event-driven solutionsPartnering with business and technical stakeholders to translate integration requirements into technical solutionsDeveloping integrations between enterprise SaaS, cloud and existing business applicationsTroubleshooting integration failures, performance issues and production incidentsImplementing error handling, monitoring, logging and retry mechanismsProducing technical documentation covering design, interfaces, mappings and deploymentCollaborating with client architecture, application, infrastructure and security teamsSupporting deployments across development, test and production environments What you'll bring:- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure API Management (APIM), Azure Service Bus and Event Grid / event-driven patternsSolid REST API experience with JSON/XML data transformation and mappingStrong knowledge of Azure security — Managed Identities, OAuth and Entra IDExperience with Application Insights / Log Analytics for monitoring and troubleshootingCI/CD and deployment experience using Azure DevOpsStrong communication skills and comfort working directly with client stakeholdersExperience working within enterprise environments with established architecture, security and governance standardsAbility to work collaboratively across onsite and offshore teams💡 Nice to have Enterprise SaaS, HR, ERP or finance system integration experienceUnderstanding of common enterprise integration architecture and patternsExperience working in hybrid environments involving Azure and on-premise systemsInfrastructure-as-Code experience (Bicep, ARM or Terraform)Exposure to integration platforms such as Boomi (advantageous, not mandatory) 👤 Candidate Profile We're looking for someone with strong hands-on Azure integration experience (rather than primarily .NET application development background), who can independently analyse a requirement and take it through design, build, testing and deployment — and who's comfortable operating in an enterprise environment with established governance standards.
