Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Software Engineer role based in Hengelo.
We are looking for a software engineer who enjoys working on a variety of technical projects in a small skilled team, with a strong focus on embedded software.
You’ll work on everything from microcontrollers, connected devices and low-level software to tooling, cloud integrations and user interfaces.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, likes working closely with hardware and is comfortable switching between different technologies and projects in a small team.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.Practical experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., C, Python).Hands-on experience with Back-End Web Development, such as building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and ability to design modular, reusable, and testable components.Experience with version control (e.g., Git), automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.Ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, communicate clearly, and document technical work effectively.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Comfort working with a small team.
