Senior Full Stack Engineer Initial 12 months + 12-month extension optionHybrid working – 3 days per week in the officeLocations across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW and SAAustralian Citizenship is required to be able to obtain an NV1 security clearance We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a large Federal Government environment, working across the development and enhancement of important digital systems, applications and integrations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on technically while also contributing to solution design, code quality and delivery across a collaborative project environment. The role will suit a senior engineer with a strong cloud-native background who is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and partnering closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders. What you’ll be doing You’ll be involved in the design, build, deployment and ongoing support of scalable applications and services, with responsibilities including: Designing and developing cloud-based applications, APIs and integrationsWorking extensively across AWS infrastructure and servicesBuilding and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as CodeDeveloping backend services and APIs using technologies such as Golang, TypeScript and PythonWorking with REST and GraphQL APIsDeploying and managing containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes and HelmBuilding and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesParticipating in technical design discussions and code reviewsWriting unit, component, integration and functional automated testsWorking closely with QA teams to support integration and end-to-end testingCollaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, priorities and delivery outcomesContributing to a strong engineering culture and maintaining high development standards What we’re looking for We’re keen to speak with experienced software engineers who can demonstrate strong hands-on experience across: AWSTerraform / Infrastructure as CodeGolang, TypeScript and/or PythonREST and/or GraphQLDocker, Kubernetes and HelmGitHub or GitLab CI/CDAutomated testing and modern DevOps practicesFull SDLC delivery within complex enterprise environmentsExperience with React and TypeScript frontend development, PostgreSQL or MySQL, accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1, HashiCorp Vault, Artifactory or AI-assisted/spec-driven development would also be highly regarded.
