The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement and maintain secure, scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.
You’ll work across cloud infrastructure, automation, networking, security and operational support, partnering with engineering, operations and security teams to improve the reliability and performance of cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.Develop automation using Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.Implement cloud security best practices, access controls and governance.Manage and troubleshoot cloud networking, including VPNs, load balancing, firewalls and security groups.Monitor infrastructure performance, reliability and cost.Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity requirements.Work with development, operations and security teams to integrate cloud solutions.Maintain technical documentation covering cloud architecture, configurations and processes.Participate in occasional out-of-hours support for technology changes.What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial experience across AWS and Azure.Hands-on cloud infrastructure design, deployment and operational experience.Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or similar.Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.Strong understanding of cloud networking and security.Experience with cloud storage and infrastructure services.Scripting experience with Python, Bash and/or PowerShell.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus or Azure Monitor.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams.Nice to Have
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.Relevant degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience.
