About The Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer with strong Salesforce System Administration skills to support a major government digital transformation program. This is a hands-on technical role combining Salesforce development, OmniStudio, advanced Flow automation, integrations and platform administration. You will design and deliver scalable Salesforce solutions while supporting platform security, performance, deployments and ongoing optimisation. The role is open to candidates across Australia and can be performed fully remotely. Very occasional attendance at the Canberra office may be required, with any associated attendance or travel costs at the contractor's own expense. Role: Senior Salesforce DeveloperRate: $100-$120/hour + superOffice: Dickson, ACTArrangement: Fully remote with very occasional office attendanceStart: ASAP, subject to cleared Police CheckDuration: 12 months with likely extensionHours: 40 hours per week Key Responsibilities Design and develop enterprise Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components and declarative toolsBuild advanced OmniStudio solutions using OmniScripts, FlexCards, Integration Procedures and data mapping capabilitiesDesign and optimise complex Salesforce Flows and determine appropriate use of Flow versus ApexConfigure and administer Salesforce environments, security, permissions, metadata and platform settingsDevelop secure REST and SOAP API integrations with external systemsSupport Salesforce Service Cloud and enterprise applicationsTranslate business requirements into scalable technical solutionsConduct code reviews and promote Salesforce development standardsManage source control, CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Git and Azure DevOpsMonitor platform performance, governor limits and Salesforce release impactsTroubleshoot complex defects and perform root-cause analysisIdentify technical debt and implement sustainable improvementsMaintain data integrity, platform security and system stabilitySupport testing, release management and production deploymentsCollaborate with architects, business analysts, product owners, testers, vendors and technical teamsMaintain technical, configuration and deployment documentation About You Minimum 5 years' application design and development experience, with strong Salesforce Flow and OmniStudio exposureMinimum 3 years' hands-on Salesforce development experienceMinimum 3 years' system administration experience, preferably SalesforceStrong Apex development experience including classes, triggers, controllers, batch and asynchronous processingStrong Lightning Web Components experienceHands-on OmniStudio experience including OmniScripts, FlexCards and Integration ProceduresExperience with SOQL, Visualforce, VS Code, Data Loader, reports and dashboardsExperience integrating Salesforce with external applicationsStrong REST and SOAP API knowledgeExperience with Git, Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployment practicesStrong understanding of Salesforce security, permissions, data integrity and platform limitsExperience supporting solutions from requirements gathering through development, testing and releaseStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitySalesforce Developer certification requiredSalesforce Administrator certification requiredSalesforce Public Sector Solutions experience desirableStrong stakeholder communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work effectively within a remote multidisciplinary delivery teamValid Australian working rights requiredAustralian citizen, permanent resident or long-term visa holderSponsorship is not available for this opportunityAbility to successfully complete the required Police CheckAs a mandatory requirement for this contract role, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
