Our client, a leading insurer, is seeking an Integration Developer to join their Auckland-based team.
You'll build and support APIs, integrations, and automation, working closely with engineers, QA, DevOps, and architecture.
What you'll be doing
Design, develop, test, maintain, and support applications, APIs, integrations, and supporting servicesBuild integration solutions across modern stacks (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, and front-end applications)Integrate with SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce and other business systems)Develop and maintain automated tests (unit/integration/regression where appropriate)Participate in code reviews and uphold strong standards in quality, security, performance, and maintainabilitySupport releases (deployments, smoke testing, validation, post-release monitoring)Troubleshoot defects/incidents and provide production supportPartner with DevOps to ensure solutions are deployable, observable, and operationally readyMaintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across delivery practicesWhat we're looking for
3+ years' experience in software development, integration, or related rolesStrong experience building REST APIs, integrations, and service-based solutionsExperience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Node.jsFamiliarity with CI/CD, automated deployments, and DevOps practicesExperience working in Agile delivery environmentsUnderstanding of secure coding practices and source control processesStrong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skillsComfort leveraging AI-assisted tools/agents to support development, testing, troubleshooting, and deliveryWhy this role
