About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at RIT Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines that support our clients' applications and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, automation tools, and software development, with a passion for building resilient, secure, and scalable systems. You will collaborate closely with architects, application developers, and security teams to ensure best practices are followed and that cloud environments are optimized for performance and security. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.Minimum of ten years of experience in IT applications development and/or infrastructure quality assurance.Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, and experience with REST API development.Hands-on experience with cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.Strong knowledge of cloud networking, storage, and security best practices.Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Familiarity with CI/CD tools and pipelines, including Jenkins, Concourse, Nexus, Artifactory, and Git.Understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and their application to ensure application resilience and availability.Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.Applicable certifications in cloud and DevOps technologies are preferred. Responsibilities Partner with architects and application development teams to evaluate new cloud services, features, and enhancements to optimize infrastructure and application performance.Design and implement secure patterns and configurations for cloud services to ensure compliance and security best practices.Develop and maintain automation scripts, code, and templates for provisioning and de-provisioning cloud resources using tools like Terraform and cloud provider APIs.Ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure by implementing appropriate security controls and monitoring.Apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to enhance system availability, resilience, and performance.Provide technical consulting and expertise to application teams utilizing public cloud services, guiding them through best practices and optimization strategies.Manage and optimize public cloud environments, including resource allocation, cost management, and performance tuning.Enhance automation and CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and integration workflows.Manage cloud development tools, including source code repositories, artifact repositories, code quality tools, and orchestration platforms.Research, prototype, and implement new capabilities and emerging technologies to improve cloud infrastructure and automation processes.Maintain and administer Linux and Windows Server operating systems as required for cloud and application environments.
