We're working with a premier AI and Financial Technology firm, a leader in its domain, on an exciting opportunity. This company is a fast-growing tech firm at the forefront of financial innovation, seeking to expand its highly skilled engineering team. The Role Design and build cloud-native backend services using Python and FastAPI for a new Portfolio Management System. Integrate with Bloomberg and other market data providers to support real-time data ingestion. Develop scalable REST APIs and real-time services using WebSockets and event-driven architectures. Optimize application performance, cloud resource utilization, and system scalability within Microsoft Azure. Collaborate daily with client engineering leads and contribute to architecture discussions. Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability. What You'll Need 5+ years of backend software development experience with strong Python skills. Proven experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks. Hands-on experience with Bloomberg API integration. Strong understanding of backend application architecture, distributed systems, and external API integration. Expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, and designing scalable backend solutions for high-volume data. Experience deploying and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
