Forward Deployed Engineer, (f/m/x) Germany - Hybrid
What You Will Do
This is not a traditional product engineering position, you’ll partner directly with enterprise teams to understand critical workflows, design AI-driven solutions & build/fine tune agents that perform real tasks in production.
This is a hands on generalist role for software engineers who enjoy problem solving, responsibility, and seeing the real-world impact of what they build.
No two days will look the same and every client’s tech landscape will offer different challenges for you to overcome.
Work directly with customers to understand operational challenges and success criteriaTranslate open-ended problems into clear technical designs and implementationsOwn delivery of the Wonderful platform and guide clients on best practiceBuild AI agents that integrate with customer systems, data sources, and APIsConduct ad hoc workshops with client teamsWrite production quality code to support integrations, logic, and workflowsOwn deployments, including reliability, performance, and continuous improvementTest with real data, measure outcomes, and iterate quicklyCollaborate closely with Product and Engineering to improve the platformContribute to tools, documentation, and delivery practices that help us scale

Who You Are
Several years of professional software engineering experienceExperience building and scaling end to end production systemsExperience integrating platforms into customer environments using APIs, cloud infrastructure, MCP, and production data flowsStrong technical problem-solving skillsYou’re comfortable working directly with customers and owning ambiguous problemsClear communication skills and a strong ownership mindsetInterest in building AI-powered systems that work in practiceYou speak German to a minimum C1 level (You must be comfortable communicating with clients in German)
Nice to have
Experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or customer-facing rolesExposure to AI agents, automation, or conversational systemsYou’ve been part of a fast growing start up and enjoy the paceFamiliarity with cloud environmentsExperience with TypeScript, Go or Python
