About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in evolving our design system. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of experience in front-end development, with a strong focus on design system creation and management. Demonstrated proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is essential, alongside extensive expertise in modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React. A deep understanding of CSS, including pre-processors, CSS variables, variable stacking, and sophisticated color systems, is required. Experience with Web Components and their application within large-scale systems is highly desirable. Candidates should have a proven track record of scaling design systems, managing complex theming architectures, and ensuring seamless production deployments. Strong knowledge of version control, library dependency management, and package versioning is also necessary. Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for documentation and creating working code demonstrations are critical for success in this role. Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous evolution of the company's design system, emphasizing reusability, scalability, and maintainability.Architect and implement web components that serve as the foundational building blocks for user interfaces across various applications.Drive advanced theming solutions to support multiple brand identities and user preferences using CSS variables, variable stacking, and color systems.Manage the full lifecycle of design system components, including development, deployment, versioning, and ongoing maintenance.Oversee library and package dependency management to ensure a stable and efficient development environment.Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to translate design principles into technical solutions that meet business needs.Promote best practices in front-end development, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.Mentor and guide junior developers and team members on design system principles and implementation techniques.Develop comprehensive documentation and guidelines to facilitate seamless adoption and usage of the design system by designers and developers.Create working code demonstrations to showcase component capabilities and usage scenarios for internal teams and stakeholders.
