About The Role As a Platform Engineer at Nexus Black, you will be instrumental in shaping and maintaining the core infrastructure that powers our suite of AI-driven products. Your role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available platforms that serve as the backbone for our applications. This position requires a proactive mindset focused on building robust systems rather than merely troubleshooting issues. You will establish standards and best practices that enable our product teams to deploy, operate, and evolve services independently, ensuring high reliability, security, and deployment quality across the organization. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our solutions, supporting industries that keep the world turning. Qualifications To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a strong background in systems engineering and cloud infrastructure. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential, along with proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is expected. Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell are necessary for automation tasks. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, network architecture, and high-availability system design. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are also critical.
