Engineering Manager - Payments

About The Role We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers building internal tooling and APIs within the payments domain. You’ll be responsible for ensuring system reliability, delivering new features, and driving business-critical initiatives. This area manages web applications and APIs, where you oversee daily operations, drive technical execution, and support team growth across the whole employee lifecycle - hiring & developing talent. You Will Be Responsible For Team Management & Support: Run daily standupsHold regular one-on-onesDrive goal setting and career developmentLead hiring and onboardingProvide technical guidance and mentorshipTrack and act on engineering KPIs Technical & Project Oversight Participate in code reviews and pull request approvalsLead technical discussions and discovery sessionsMonitor system health and manage incidents Process & Execution Plan and execute sprints and roadmap deliverables, ensuring clear timelines and resource alignmentOptimise CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesWork closely with engineering, product, and Strategy & Leadership Contribute to the engineering, SDLC and QA strategy.Conduct performance reviews and support career growthMaintain strong communication with stakeholders Essential Skills OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Solid engineering background, spending at least 5+ years working as an engineer developing web applications and APIsProven experience in leading and managing engineering teamsTransparent and inspiring leadership style that builds trustExcellent communication skills, with the ability to guide and challenge teams effectively when neededDeep understanding of Agile software development methodologies Nice-to-Have Experience in payments domainKnowledge of the iGaming industry Who We Are At the core of LeoVegas Group is Team Leo.
