Role Overview
We are hiring a Python Game Developer to build games, simulations, or game tooling in Python.
The role combines Python craft with games-specific work — shipping clean, maintainable systems that designers and engineers love to build on.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain game features, tools, and backend systems in Python
- Develop game logic, simulation systems, or AI behaviours
- Build internal tools and pipelines for designers and content creators
- Integrate Python systems with engine, server, or web components
- Diagnose and resolve bugs across the game stack
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering practices
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years building production Python applications, ideally in games or simulation
- Strong Python skills, including async, performance optimisation, and packaging
- Experience with game frameworks (Pygame, Panda3D, Ren'Py) or Python in larger engines (Maya, Blender, Unreal)
- Familiarity with game backends, multiplayer systems, or simulation engines is a plus
