SRE Engineer | Series B | Scale-up Location: London (Hybrid) Salary: £competitive + Strong Bens Backend Engineering | AWS | Kubernetes | Distributed Systems | SRE I’m currently looking for: SRE Engineer (Java, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, AWS, Kubernetes) Our client is a high-growth, Series B technology company building a data-intensive platform used in a complex, real-time industry. They’ve recently secured significant investment and are now scaling their engineering teams as they tackle increasingly interesting problems around performance, reliability and distributed systems. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building backend systems but also wants ownership of how those systems perform in production. Engineers have genuine autonomy here. You’ll be given problems rather than tickets, trusted to make technical decisions and expected to own what you build from development through to production. You’ll be working across: Backend services supporting real-time and analytical data processingHigh-throughput, low-latency distributed systemsAWS environments across EKS, ECS and LambdaKubernetes and containerised workloadsObservability, monitoring and alerting with DatadogInfrastructure as Code and CI/CDStreaming/data technologies including Kafka, Flink, Redis and RedshiftProduction reliability, incident response and reducing operational toil We’re looking for engineers with 4+ years’ experience who are strong in at least one of Java, Kotlin, Python or TypeScript, with solid production experience across AWS and modern infrastructure. You don’t need to come from a traditional SRE background. This could suit a strong Backend / Software Engineer who enjoys infrastructure, reliability and owning systems in production, or an SRE who still loves writing software.
