About the Opportunity
The Software Engineer L3 is a critical technical role responsible for developing and maintaining highly available, large-scale distributed systems within the email platform.
This position contributes directly to optimizing backend microservices, enhancing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring system reliability and scalability, supporting the organization's core communication services.
Responsibilities
• Develop and deploy reliable, low-latency features capable of managing high-volume email traffic.
• Collaborate with product and technical teams to translate complex requirements into iterative deliverables.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews and promote maintainable coding practices in Go.
• Manage cloud environments across AWS and Azure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Standardize observability through metrics, alerts, and distributed tracing.
• Identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and system vulnerabilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical sprint planning.
Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience building and operating scalable backend services.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding and testing workflows.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python, with experience in concurrent programming.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Understanding of distributed datastores, caching systems, and event streaming technologies.
• Solid foundation in computer science, data structures, and cloud architecture.
• Preferred experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred experience with database migration, OpenTelemetry, and network protocols related to mail transfer.
