As part of the NATO Command Structure and reporting to Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT), the JWC directly supports both SACT and Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) by strengthening the operational readiness, interoperability, and effectiveness of NATO Command and Force Structure Headquarters. Through its multinational workforce, the Centre plays a critical role in preparing the Alliance for current and emerging security challenges. The department we are supporting is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of operational and strategic-level exercises and training activities, while integrating warfare development, experimentation, concept development, and lessons learned into NATO's training programmes. By delivering technologically integrated, multi-domain exercises and maintaining joint doctrine and standards, the JWC enhances NATO's decision-making capabilities, interoperability, and warfighting readiness, ensuring the Alliance remains prepared to respond effectively across the full spectrum of military operations. Role ID – IFIB-ACT-JWC-26-08-2.1 Role Background This role sits within the engineering team supporting NEC CCIS, a NATO-owned Air C2 system. The successful candidate will build and maintain end-user-facing functionality within a low-code application framework, working iteratively with users to deliver fit-for-purpose modules within a high-density, data-intensive enterprise application. Role Duties and Responsibilities Develop functionality that is fit-for-purpose for end users and aligned with defined standards Work within an application framework using low-code tooling, focused on data modelling and user interface design Create and maintain modules within a high-density, data-intensive enterprise web application Collaborate iteratively with end users to develop and refine functionality Essential Skills, Experience and Certifications Minimum 5 years' experience with systems in the NATO air C2 domain Minimum 5 years' experience in user collaboration to iteratively develop end-user functionality Strong experience with data modelling, SQL, and PL/SQL Experience with Oracle Forms, APEX, or similar Familiarity with UI/UX principles Experience with HTML5 and CSS3 Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines SFIA experience level 2; NATO SLP 3333 Preferred: experience with Scheme or another Lisp-family language, and/or XML Working Location NEC CCIS System Support Centre, Kolsås, Bærum, Norway (approx. 20km west of Oslo).
