Job Duties: Collaborate with Build/Run teams to develop highly available and scalable performance testing solutions that leverage platform infrastructure, with proper monitoring and alerting systems in place. Conduct engineer performance testing within the agile scrum certification process and establish service level agreements for RWT infrastructure and agent deployments, including optimizations and tuning based on requirements. Provide guidance to application and operational teams on setting up policies, alerts, dashboards, and custom configurations to gain full visibility into their environments. Testing APIs, abstractions, and integration patterns to address complex distributed computing challenges. Work closely with product owners and team members to break down stories, design features, and prioritize tasks. Contributing to Schwab’s efforts to improve our Continuous Delivery processes by establishing automation, streamlining build and deployment methods, and enhancing software development practices. Assist in analyzing application configuration management issues in both production and nonproduction environments. Develop and maintain performance scripts. Identifying technology gaps and risks early and creating mitigation plans. Complete assigned tasks by collaborating with individuals and teams that are geographically dispersed. Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize resource usage to build an application capacity model. Engage in mentoring junior team members. Work with Team Leads, Architects, and Developers across the organization to proactively monitor application performance and ensure new features meet SLAs. Optimize system components such as CPU, Memory, Disk, Network, OS, and Application software to maximize resource utilization. Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab’s internal approach to workplace flexibility. What you have Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or a related field and 96 months of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation. . Experience must include 96 months of experience involving the following: Performance Testing and engineering, Performance monitoring and optimizations; Writing the performance test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, BlazeMeter tools; Performance monitoring using New Relic, AWS Cloudwatch; Documenting analyzed results and tracking defects using Confluence, Jira tools; Performance tuning and optimizations using JProfiler; and Monitoring applications and Identifying bottlenecks using New Relic, AWS Cloudwatch.
