About The Role
McKesson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our Specialty Access & Affordability value stream, specifically within the FastAuth team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance applications that streamline the process of moving specialty prescriptions through prior authorization, ultimately reducing the time between prescription writing and patient therapy initiation.
As part of this team, you will work on building scalable, high-quality solutions that directly impact patient care and healthcare efficiency.
You will collaborate with a talented group of engineers who are dedicated to technical excellence and continuous delivery.
The team works with a diverse technology stack, including React for front-end development, .NET for backend services, and event-driven integrations on Azure cloud platform.
This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of your work, contribute to the full development lifecycle, and participate actively in deploying reliable and innovative solutions.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Typically, candidates will have 8 or more years of relevant experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering production-ready applications.
Critical skills include strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and/or .NET, along with experience working with Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of event-driven architecture, ideally including Kafka, and demonstrate the ability to leverage AI tools effectively within their development workflow.
Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to translate complex requirements into simple technical solutions, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Experience working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities is highly valued.
Responsibilities
Design and develop robust, scalable web applications utilizing TypeScript, React, and/or .NET technologies.Collaborate with engineers and architects to design and implement solutions within Azure cloud infrastructure.Lead and mentor team members through complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.Contribute to building and maintaining an event-driven architecture, ensuring seamless data flow and system integration.Translate complex business requirements into elegant, efficient technical solutions that meet stakeholder needs.Conduct code reviews, pair programming, and provide mentorship to less experienced developers to raise the overall team quality.Maintain high-quality standards by delivering work consistently and predictably, supporting the team’s delivery cadence.Support deployed applications through monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing continuous improvements.Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, as well as technical planning and design discussions.

Compensation is determined based on performance, experience, skills, and market conditions, with a pay range for this role between $131,000 and $218,300.
