OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer to support our Air Force customer.
Job Responsibilities Include
Participate in the development, implementation, and refinement of 3-DoF and 6-DoF physics-based simulation modelsParticipate in the modeling of vehicle trajectories, debris dispersion patterns, and dynamic system behaviorValidate physics models against analytical results, test data, and performance requirementsPerform end-to-end software lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, integration, and testProduce technical documentation for models, algorithms, and software productsParticipate in model reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetingsSupport fielded simulation tools and assist with troubleshooting, updates, and enhancements
Minimum Requirements
3-5 years with modeling and simulation software or physics based software experienceProficiency in C++, Python, Java or other object-oriented programming languagesPractical experience with 3-DoF and 6-DoF modeling techniquesDemonstrated experience modeling vehicle trajectories and debris patternsKnowledge of physics modelsFamiliarity with Agile development practices, specifically ScrumExperience working on cross-discipline engineering teams
Preferred Skills
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, or other version control systemsBackground using simulation tools/frameworks (MATLAB, Simulink, STK, physics engines)Linux development experience (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.)Experience with visualization tools or simulation analysis pipelinesExperience with real-time, hardware-in-the-loop, or mission-level simulation environmentsCertified ScrumMaster (optional)
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline.
Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree.
Eligibility
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; an active Secret Clearance is highly desirable.
