About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Java Full Stack Software Engineer - Mid Level to join our Investment Experience Technology team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, startup-minded environment focused on developing cutting-edge investment solutions. As part of our team, you will contribute to designing and implementing scalable, high-impact software that enhances our digital investment platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, digital-first experiences that empower our members and financial advisors with seamless and intelligent tools. Qualifications The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree or possess equivalent experience, with an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Certification from recognized programs such as CodeUp, Galvanize, VetFIT, or eFIT is also acceptable. Candidates should have at least three years of software development experience demonstrating deep technical expertise within specific disciplines or technologies. Additionally, a minimum of two years of experience in delivering full software lifecycle solutions, including leading code and design reviews, is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of technologies such as Java, JavaScript, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, and Python. A basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools is preferred, along with developing business insights in operations, risk management, and industry trends. Responsibilities Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions aligned with project requirements and organizational standards.Investigate and resolve complex application and system issues, including production outages, using effective troubleshooting techniques.Conduct comprehensive systems analysis to identify operational improvements and recommend policy or procedural changes.Prepare and implement complex system solutions by designing specifications, standards, and programming requirements.Adhere to the software development lifecycle, participating in design reviews and learning key system design principles.Mentor junior engineers and review peers’ code to ensure quality and consistency across projects.Identify and manage risks associated with business activities, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
